The Ukrainian Economy: Review for 2023 and outlook for 2024
On January 11th, the German Economic Team, together with the Centre for Economic Strategy, presented key economic developments of the past year, as well as an outlook for the new year, as part of the monthly review.
This time, we were able to welcome Yulia Svyrydenko, first deputy prime minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy, as special guest.
Consumer expectations and the business climate have deteriorated recently, and Ukraine can look back on a difficult year overall due to the war. However, there have also been positive developments. Gross domestic product has stabilised and Ukraine has also started exporting grain again thanks to the temporary sea corridor.
