On February 9th, the German Economic Team discussed the Economic Monitor Ukraine during a webinar with more than 40 representatives of EU institutions, e.g. the European External Action Service, the European Commission, the EU Delegation to Ukraine, as well as Embassies from different EU Member States in Ukraine.
Robert Kirchner, Deputy Team Leader, Dr Georg Zachmann, Head of the Energy and Climate Department and Garry Poluschkin, Project Manager for Ukraine of the German Economic Team highlighted the main developments and the short-term outlook for the Ukrainian economy. The effect of the pandemic on the economy, the resilience of the financial sector as well as recent reforms were discussed extensively during the event. The high number of participants as well as the lively discussion afterwards illustrate the keen interest in Ukrainian economic developments.
