The biannual information session in the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) on government consultancy in the countries Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and Georgia was again very well attended.
The Berlin Economics’ experts first gave presentations on the economic situation in Ukraine, the situation in the east of the country as well as to the specific sectors of machine building and gas.
Subsequently the economic situation in Moldova and the prospects for Moldova’s foreign trade were discussed. Regarding Belarus, the impact of joining the Eurasian Union was of particular interest. Georgia was discussed for the impact of the Association agreement with the EU.
The invited guests from politics, business and civil society used the opportunity for information exchange and for an intensive debate of current questions.
